Hurricane and Storm in Hillsboro Beach

Hillsboro Beach is a narrow barrier island town between the ocean and the Intracoastal, with oceanfront estates and condos along the Hillsboro Mile. Oceanfront estates, older beach houses and mid rise condos.

Ocean on one side and the Intracoastal on the other. VE and AE flood zones and constant salt exposure. Barrier island exposure means wind, surge and erosion together. Securing the house fast is critical.

We handle hurricane and storm restoration in Hillsboro Beach from the first call to the final walkthrough. Demolition, debris removal and dumpsters run on our own crews and equipment, and licensed trades handle any permitted work through Town of Hillsboro Beach Building Department. One company, one project manager, one schedule.

Questions, answered

Can we sign up before hurricane season?

Yes, and we recommend it. Pre-storm clients get a walkthrough, a property profile with shut off locations and priority areas, and first place in line after a storm.

Is storm surge flooding covered by my homeowners policy?

Usually not. Rising water from surge or flooding is typically covered by flood insurance, while wind and wind-driven rain fall under the homeowners policy. We document both separately because it matters to the claim.

Do you remove fallen trees and storm debris?

Yes. Debris removal and dumpsters are a core Barraza service, so cleanup does not wait on a third party hauler.

How do you handle Hillsboro Beach access after a storm?

We plan for gate access, HOA rules and road closures. Pre-registered clients get crews staged as soon as roads reopen.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Our restoration lead holds Florida Mold Remediator License MRSR2859, Lead Renovator Certification 183166 and Florida DOH biohazard registration 13-64-1716182, with certifications in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying and Applied Microbial Remediation. We carry $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate general liability and issue certificates to HOAs, condo associations and property managers on request.

Do I have to sign over my insurance benefits?

No. Florida banned assignment of benefits on residential property policies issued on or after January 1, 2023, and we do not ask for one. You contract with us directly, stay in control of your claim, and we give your adjuster the documentation.
