One company, one project manager, one schedule.
Before we arrive
What to do, and what to leave alone, while the crew is on the way.
Do this now
- Turn off the air conditioning if mold is near a vent, closet air handler or return.
- Close the door to the affected room.
- Find and stop any obvious water source.
- Keep kids, pets and anyone with asthma out of the area.
Avoid
- Do not spray bleach. It does not fix porous materials and can spread spores.
- Do not paint over mold.
- Do not run fans across moldy surfaces.
- Do not tear out moldy drywall yourself.
What we handle
Containment
Sealed containment with negative air keeps spores out of the rest of the house while we work.
HEPA Air Filtration
Air scrubbers and HEPA vacuums capture spores during and after removal.
Removal and Treatment
Remove affected porous materials, clean and treat framing and surfaces to protocol.
Moisture Source Fix
Mold comes back if the water does. We find the leak, condensation or humidity source and fix it.
Clearance Ready
We build the job to pass independent post remediation testing by your mold assessor.
Rebuild
Drywall, cabinetry, trim and paint replaced, so the room is finished, not just cleared.
How it works
Every step is photographed and logged for you and your adjuster.
Call
Tell us what you see or smell. Turn off the HVAC if mold is near a vent or air handler.
Protocol
An independent licensed mold assessor writes the remediation protocol. Florida law keeps assessor and remediator separate on the same job.
Contain
Build containment, set negative air, protect the rest of the home.
Remediate
Remove, clean and treat to the protocol with HEPA filtration running.
Clear and Rebuild
Independent clearance testing, then we rebuild the affected areas.

Questions, answered
Are you licensed for mold remediation in Florida?
Yes. Barraza Industries holds a Florida Mold Remediator license and Applied Microbial Remediation certification. Florida requires a license for mold remediation over 10 square feet.
Who writes the mold protocol for a Delray Beach job?
An independent licensed mold assessor. Florida law does not allow the same company to assess and remediate the same job, which protects you. We can recommend assessors we work with, or follow the protocol from yours.
Can we stay in the house during remediation?
Often, yes. Containment and negative air isolate the work area. For large jobs, sensitive occupants, or mold in the HVAC system, we will tell you honestly if moving out for a few days makes sense.
Why does mold keep coming back?
Because the moisture source was never fixed. Condensation from an oversized AC, a slow leak, or a home closed up all summer with the thermostat set too high. We fix the source before we close the walls.
Is mold covered by insurance?
It depends on your policy and on what caused it. Mold from a sudden covered water loss is more likely to be covered than mold from long term humidity. We document cause and extent so your adjuster has what they need.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our restoration lead holds Florida Mold Remediator License MRSR2859, Lead Renovator Certification 183166 and Florida DOH biohazard registration 13-64-1716182, with certifications in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying and Applied Microbial Remediation. We carry $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate general liability and issue certificates to HOAs, condo associations and property managers on request.
Do I have to sign over my insurance benefits?
No. Florida banned assignment of benefits on residential property policies issued on or after January 1, 2023, and we do not ask for one. You contract with us directly, stay in control of your claim, and we give your adjuster the documentation.
